Hello Fellow Practitioners
Hi, I am Shivani Sharma, RD, LD, CLT, CGN, a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of experience in nutrition, specializing in metabolic health, gut health, inflammatory conditions, and autoimmune disorders.Ā
More recently, through my work alongside physicians and nurse practitioners, I have had the opportunity to support patients using GLP-1 RA and other weight loss medications firsthand.
That experience showed me justĀ how important nutrition support isĀ during this journey. I saw that while these medications can be powerful tools, patients often need guidance to manage side effects, maintain adequate nutrition, protect muscle mass, and create habits that support long-term success.Ā We can not only educate them about diet, nutrition & lifestyle habits for long-term goals but also help them manage their symptoms (especially GI disorders, food aversion, nausea, etc.)
By developing patient education materials and applying these strategies in real clinical settings, I have seen the meaningful difference that dietitians can make. In this webinar, I look forward to sharing what I have learned so you can better support your patients with confidence and clarity.
